Pinacoteca di Brera

Die Pinacoteca di Brera in Mailand gehört zu den bedeutendsten Kunstmuseen Italiens. Sie hat ihren Sitz im barocken Palazzo di Brera. Schwerpunkte der Schausammlung liegen auf der oberitalienischen Malerei der Renaissance und Barockzeit, aber auch das Trecento, die übrigen italienischen Kunstlandschaften und jüngeren Kunstepochen sind neben der frühen Antike und niederländischen Barockmalerei vertreten.

Museo del Novecento

Das Museo del Novecento von Mailand ist eine Dauerausstellung von Kunstwerken des 20. Jahrhunderts, die im Palazzo dell’Arengario und dem angrenzenden Palazzo Reale in Mailand untergebracht ist. Das Museum wurde 2009 eröffnet und übernahm die Sammlungen des früheren Civico Museo d’Arte Contemporanea (CIMAC), das sich im zweiten Stock des Palazzo Reale befand und 1998 geschlossen wurde.

Museum of the Cenacolo of leonardo da vinci

The Last Supper is a mural painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1495–1498, housed in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy. The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Twelve Apostles, as it is told in the Gospel of John – specifically the moment after Jesus announces that one of his apostles will betray him. Its handling of space, mastery of perspective, treatment of motion and complex display of human emotion has made it one of the Western world's most recognizable paintings and among Leonardo's most celebrated works. Some commentators consider it pivotal in inaugurating the transition into what is now termed the High Renaissance.
